As an intersectional feminist organisation, working to ensure that girls, young women and gender minorities enjoy substantive equality, with access to resources and opportunities that enable them to live fulfilling lives, we applaud your efforts.
During a technical presentation, department director-general Mathanzima Mweli said in Sowetan “342,398 girls surpassed the NSC requirements compared to 272,031 boys. He noted that 194,181 girls achieved bachelor admissions versus 142,977 boys, and 211,426 girls earned distinctions compared to 108,225 boys”.
We also encourage the students who did not achieve their desired results to remain hopeful and resilient. Remember, this is not the end but an opportunity to rewrite your story. Your efforts have not gone unnoticed, and now is the time to begin anew.
